Hasht Behesht Palace, a historical palace in the center of Isfahan also know as "Emarat-e Hasht Behesht", "Hasht-Be- Hasht" and "Hasht-Dar-Beheshet", is a building located in the middle of a large garden called Baq-e-Bolbol or Baq-e-Hasht Behesh. It dates back to Safavid era, 1080 AH (1048 solar year) at the time of Shah Soleiman Safavid's government.
Based on historical documents, Naseroddin shah allotted this palace to the great lady named Eftekharodole, providing that she wouldn't make any changes on the architecture, decoration and garden's frontage. However, after she passed away, her inheritors made so many changes on the garden and its palace.
The architecture of Hasht Behesht has been built in Isfahani style as an octagon. Having so many connecting rooms with eye-catching embellishments is of main characteristics of this palace. The first thing attracting your attention at the first sight would be its multifaceted architecture and various halls surrounding the building. This building has four main facades and each seems to have one porch. The main porch is located on the north part; but nowadays the east side has turned out to be the main facade because the pool is on the east side of this palace. There are so many mirrors works on the walls, and the ceilings are decorated with great and beautiful mosaics. There also are some doors and windows with inlaid works on them that makes this palace much more incredibly artistic.
